On 23rd April 2023, second Sunday after Easter, Saint Thomas Sunday, Antipascha, the Sacrament of Baptism was performed at the Parish of the Most Holy Mother of God in Wenda village, Iringa region, Tanzania.
The parish priest, Rev. Ambrosios Chavala, baptised ten people.
“On another note, an Orthodox drawing contest took place in a local Sunday school and young winners received certificates of honour and prizes – new school backpacks,” Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, wrote in his Telegram channel.
