With the blessing of the DECR Chairman, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Subdeacon P. Champion is in Kenya on a working visit as a representative of the Russian Orthodox Church in the Commission on World Mission and Evangelisation of the World Council of Churches.

After the service, Subdeacon P. Champion conveyed to the congregation heartfelt greetings from their Orthodox brothers and sisters from Russia, noting that the future of the Orthodox Church is inextricably linked with the African continent.

The guest from Russia gave a talk to the faithful, after which he presented all the parishioners with prayer ropes and crosses brought from the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius.
