On 19th January 2023, the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa received a certificate of official registration in Tanzania, thus legally securing its presence in the country.
This is the fifth country on the continent where the Exarchate has received official registration. Last year, the same certificates were obtained in the Central African Republic, Zambia, Uganda and Nigeria.
