New educational course organised for clergy and laity of Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa.
A missionary Alexander Lyulka has delivered lectures on the Holy Scripture and Catechesis in all nine Kenyan deaneries, focusing, in particular, on various topics of ecclesiology and schism studies, as well as on the sacraments of Baptism and Repentance in the life of a Christian.
The lectures took place at 22 parishes and were attended by 916 people – 52 clergymen and 864 laypeople.
Such educational format proved to be a success. The clerics and parishioners gave a warm welcome to the lecturer and expressed gratitude to the supreme authority of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, announced plans to launch an online educational module to reach a wider audience.
At the moment, a similar programme is being implemented in Rwanda.
