On April 4, 2026, the first episode of the Orthodox radio program produced by the Spiritual and Educational Center of the Apostle and Evangelist Mark of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa aired on the Lengo Songo radio station at 98.9 FM in the Central African Republic.
The Spiritual and Educational Center’s radio programs in the CAR are scheduled weekly on Saturdays, with replays on weekdays.
Lengo Songo is the first national radio station whose primary language is Sango. The radio station broadcasts in nine cities of the CAR and neighboring regions, with transmission points in Bangui, Bambari, Bria, Boar, Paoua, Bossangoa, Kabo, Kaga-Bandoro, and Ndele. The current audience reaches approximately 3.5 million listeners.
In the first section of the radio program, listeners learned about the basics of the Orthodox faith, specifically how Orthodox Christians understand faith in the One God.
In the second, the program’s creators introduced listeners to the life of the Venerable Moses Murin, an Orthodox saint of African origin.
In the third part, listeners heard the moving story of one of their contemporaries on the African continent who converted to the Orthodox faith and joined the Orthodox Church.
