His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent greetings to Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, on the 10th anniversary of his episcopal consecration and on the occasion of his coming Name Day.
“It is gratifying to note that for many years you have been dutifully performing your service, with invariable diligence carrying out the tasks entrusted to you by the Supreme Authority. Ten years ago, by the will of God, good and acceptable and perfect (Rom 12:2), you were vouchsafed to be ordained as bishop,” the Patriarchal message reads.
“Now, taking care of the clergy and flock of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and the Diocese of Yerevan and Armenia, you strive to promote church life in the lands entrusted to your care, to enlighten our contemporaries by the light of Christ’s faith and to edify them in the Gospel truths,” His Holiness also wrote in his letter, wishing Metropolitan Leonid “strength, generous help from God and success in further work for the good of the Holy Church.”
