An outbreak of cholera, shigellosis and typhus occurred as a result of a natural disaster near the third largest city in the Republic of Congo Dolisie. There are parishioners of the Russian Orthodox Church in the affected area.
Priests of the Patriarchal Exarchate in Congo visited Dolisie on a humanitarian mission, financial support was provided by the Russian Orthodox Church.
Priest Siluan Nkunku, the dean of the Congo parishes, headed the group.
Clerics of the Exarchate celebrated the Divine Liturgy and delivered humanitarian assistance to those who suffered.
