The Rector of the Parish of St. Panteleimon in the DRC, Priest Pandeleimon Mputu, Has Reposed in the Lord

On the morning of the 10th of December, 2025, after suffering from an illness, Priest Pandeleimon Mputu Tshiwape, the rector of the parish of the Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon in the Southern Deanery of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, departed onto the Lord at the age of 66.

Metropolitan Konstantin expresses his deep condolences to the family and close ones of the newly-departed pastor.

Father Panteleimon was born on June 5, 1960. In 1983 he embraced the Orthodox faith.

In 2001 he was ordained to the diaconate, and in 2002 he was ordained to the priesthood in the Alexandrian Orthodox Church.

In 2022 he joined the Russian Orthodox Church. He served as the rector of the parish of the Holy Great Martyr Panteleimon in the Southern Deanery of the DRC.

He was married and was raising seven children.

Clergy and parishioners remember Father Pandeleimon as a pastor who was meek yet steadfast in the faith, as a loving father, and a zealous laborer in Christ’s vineyard.

May the Kingdom of Heaven and eternal memory be granted to the newly departed Priest Panteleimon!
