On 28th May 2023, 7th Sunday of Pascha, commemoration day of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Parish of the Protection of the Mother of God in Atan village, Ogun State, Nigeria, by Priests Daniel Agbaza and Anastasios Chukwujekwu.
Rev. Daniel Agbaza was ordained into priesthood by Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, in Moscow in December 2022.
“It was the first Liturgy celebrated after the roof work had been completed. It was done thanks to a donation from the “Firebird” Russian-Chinese Cultural Centre. Special prayers were offered for the benefactors,” Father Daniel reported.
The blessing of icons took place on the same day.
