On 27th July 2023, during the Second Russia–Africa Summit held in St. Petersburg, the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and the Autonomous Non-commercial Organization “East African Continental Council” (ANO EACC) concluded a cooperation agreement.
The East African Continental Council promotes Russia’s interests in Africa and supports the Russian Orthodox Church in Uganda.
