Clergy of Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa continue with practical liturgical training

Clergy of Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa continue with practical liturgical training.

Priest Sergy Voyemawa and students of the educational course participated in the divine services celebrated in French at the Moscow Church of St Nicholas in Novaya Sloboda.

Priest Daniel Agbaza and Deacon Savva Kajawa concelebrated with Hegumen Dionisy (Shlenov), abbot of St Andrew’s Stauropegial Monastery in Moscow, at the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts. The liturgical languages were French and English. After the divine service Father Dionisy delivered a lecture on patrology.

“We continue to work in cooperation with the Convent of the Exaltation of the Cross and the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God. Fathers Daniel Agbaza and Savva Kajawa are receiving practical liturgical training in English there and learning how to bake prosphoras and mould candles,” Metropolitan Leonid of Klin wrote in his Telegram channel.

“I thank the abbot of St Andrew’s Stauropegial Monastery, Hegumen Dionisy (Shlenov), and the mother superior of the Convent of the Exaltation of the Cross and the Jerusalem Icon of the Mother of God, Hegumennes Yekaterina (Chaynikova) for assisting the Exarchate in its mission,” the Patriarchal Exarch also noted.
