Clerics and future clergymen from the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa come to Russia to take training courses for clergy.
With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, clerics from the Republic of Madagascar and the Democratic Republic of the Congo – Priest Basil Randrianaivo, Hieromonk Nikodim (Mashal) and Monk Cyril (Sinayin) – arrived in the Optina Pustyn Monastery.
There, they will undergo a three-month training and learn about the organization of monastic life, rules and rubrics for liturgical services, and monastic obediences, website of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism reports.
