On April 12, 2026, the feast of the Resurrection of Christ, Easter celebrations were held at the Russian House in Dar es Salaam (Tanzania).
Archimandrite Philareth (Kimaro), Dean of the parishes of the Central Ecclesiastical District of Tanzania, and Priest Constantine Shoki celebrated Easter services and led a procession.
The service was held in Swahili, English, and Church Slavonic.
The celebration was attended by A.L. Avetisyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Tanzania; A.A. Evstigneev, Director of the Russian House in Dar es Salaam; staff members of the diplomatic mission and their families; Russian citizens residing in Tanzania; and local residents.
Easter messages from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia and Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Metropolitan Konstantin were read aloud.
