On April 12, 2026, on the Bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, celebrated the Paschal Vespers in the Cathedral of St. Sergius of Radonezh of the South African Diocese in Johannesburg (RSA).
He was concelebrated by the Dean of the Churches in the Republic of South Africa, the Cathedral’s rector, Archpriest Daniel Lugovoy, and the parish cleric, Deacon Stephen Hayes.
The service was attended by H.E. Ambarov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of South Africa.
Following the service, a festive concert by the Sunday school students was held at the parish center.
