The dean of the Ecclesiastical District of Kinshasa (D.R. Congo), priest Augustine Mulamba has reposed in the Lord

On August 6th 2024, the dean of the parishes of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo of the South African Diocese of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and rector of the Parish of the Apostle Andrew in Kinshasa, priest Augustine Mulamba has reposed in the Lord at the age of 40, after a brief illness.

Priest Augustine Mulamba was born on the 1st of January, 1985 in the city of Kananga in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He leaved behind his spouse and four children.

In 2014 he graduated from an Orthodox university in Kinshasa with a licentiate in theology.

The same year he was ordained a deacon in Kananga.

In 2015 he received his priestly ordination.

From 2015 until 2022 he served as a missionary in the Alexandrian Orthodox Church.

In 2022 he joined the Russian Orthodox Church and was appointed rector of St. Andrew’s parish and dean of the Ecclesiastical District of Kinshasa.
