From March 25 to 29, 2026, with the blessing of the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, the dean of the parishes of the West African Deanery, Priest Parthenios Dansou, visited the Republic of Niger.
On March 26, Father Parthenios held a catechetical talk with local residents preparing for the sacrament of Baptism.
The priest spoke with the catechumens about Orthodoxy, the differences between the Orthodox faith and other Christian denominations, and the sacraments of the Church.
On March 28, at the Russian House in Niamey, the capital of Niger, Priest Parthenios celebrated the Divine Liturgy. All who wished to do so confessed and received Holy Communion.
After the service, Father Parthenios performed a memorial service and blessed water, which the faithful could take home.
