Per the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, a Spiritual Education Center of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa in honor of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist Mark has been founded within the structure of the Exarchate.
The objectives of the Center include:
— the translation and publication of liturgical, spiritual, and methodological literature into international and national languages of the peoples of Africa;
— the preparation and broadcasting of media materials (radio programs, videos, films, cartoons);
— the organization and implementation of educational and creative projects and competitions (a series of educational meetings, drawing contests, et cetera);
— the preparation of methodological guides on teaching classes for adults and children;
— holding methodological and training seminars and courses, including through distance-learning technologies;
— providing ongoing support to clergy, teachers, and catechists through dedicated social media groups and chats.
By decree of the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, dated October 21, 2025, and with the approval of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate and Metropolitan Herman of Kursk and Rylsk, Priest Tigrius Khachatryan, a cleric of the Kursk Diocese, has been appointed as the Director of the Center
