On April 12, 2026, the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, Easter celebrations and charity events were held in the parishes of the Central Deanery of Kenya.
At the parish of St. Nektarios of Aegina in the village of Kithabai, the parish rector, Priest Methodius Kariuki, and Priest Amphilochios Kaloki celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
The day before, on Great Saturday, the priests performed the sacrament of Baptism of 34 local residents.
On Holy Easter, food packages were distributed to 300 families in need.
At the parish of St. Joseph the Betrothed in the village of Kinangop, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated by Priest Samson Gutu.
After the service, food was distributed to 50 families, and school tuition for the second semester was paid for orphaned children.
On this day, parishioners also warmly congratulated Father Samson on his birthday.
