On the night of the 26th of November, after suffering from an illness, Priest Michael Zafindralambu, a cleric the Northern Deanery of the South African Diocese, rector of the Parish of St. Michael the Archangel in Antananarivo departed onto the Lord at the age of 47.
The Metropolitan of Cairo and North Africa, Konstantin, expresses his sincere condolences to the family and close ones of the newly departed Priest Michael.
Father Michael was born on the 16th of November, 1979. In 2006, after a deep spiritual search, he embraced The Orthodox faith.
In 2010 he was ordained to the deaconate. In 2011 he was ordained a priest in the Alexandrian Orthodox Church.
In 2021 he joined the Russian Orthodox Church. He graduated from a Roman Catholic seminary in Fianarantsoa, Madagascar, with a specialization in philosophy, and later from the Orthodox Seminary of the Holy Apostle John the Theologian in Antananarivo with a specialization in theology.
Since 2021 he had served as the rector of the Parish of the Archangel Michael and the Other Bodiless Heavenly Powers in Antananarivo.
He was married and was raising five children.
