Divine services held in Mali and Libya on the eve of and on the Feast of Holy Easter

On April 12, the Feast of the Resurrection of Christ, Priest Vyacheslav Perkov celebrated Paschal services at the Russian Embassy in Mali.

The service was attended by the embassy’s Third Secretary and Head of the Consular Section, D.A. Vlasov, embassy staff, Russian compatriots, journalists, and other guests.

D.A. Vlasov read the Easter messages from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin.

Following the service, there was a blessing of water and Easter foods. Then the priest held a spiritual conversation with the parishioners.

On Monday of Bright Week, the priest celebrated the Easter Matins, the Hours, and the Divine Liturgy, and blessed the water and Easter foods.

Also during his stay in Mali, Father Vyacheslav baptized two people and performed private services.

On the eve of Holy Easter, Father Vyacheslav visited Libya, where he celebrated the services for Holy Friday and Holy Saturday. About 45 people attended the services, many of whom confessed and received Holy Communion. The priest also sprinkled a hospital and other buildings with holy water.
