On March 14, 2026, the Sacrament of Baptism took place at the parish of Saint Cyril Equal-to-the-Apostles in the Malawian village of Nambazo (Phalombe District).
The parish rector, priest Gregory Wyson, baptized 112 people — adults and children — who had undergone extensive preparation at this parish.
On that day, representatives of the Lomwe and Mang’anja peoples living in the Southern Region of the country joined the Church of Christ.
More than a hundred people from the Mang’anja people received the Sacrament of Baptism last year at the parishes of Saint Luke, Blessed Matrona of Moscow, and the Holy Chief Apostles Peter and Paul.
