On October 8, 2026, the feast day of Venerable Sergius the Wonderworker, Abbot of Radonezh, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Cairo and North Africa, presided over the patronal feast celebrations at the parish of St. Sergius of Radonezh in Cairo.

His Eminence was concelebrated by Bishop Euphimy of Lukhovitsy, the Vicar of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, Dean of the District and Rector of the parish; Priest Dimitri Gurov, the acting rector of the Parish of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women in Hurghada; Hieromonk Mitrofan (Soldatenko), the rector of the Church of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Land of Egypt, as well as clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church who are on a pilgrimage to the holy sites of Egypt.

Following the Liturgy, prayers of praise in honor of St. Sergius and a procession of the cross were held.

At the conclusion of the service, Bishop Euphimy greeted the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa.

Metropolitan Konstantin delivered a response and congratulated all those gathered on the feast. His Eminence presented Bishop Euphimy with a cross and a panagia, and the parish with altar cloths and a set of altar covers.

His Eminence Konstantin also presented letters of appreciation to parishioners of St. Sergius Church who had made special efforts.

The evening before, Metropolitan Konstantin led the All-Night Vigil, concelebrated by Bishop Euphimy of Lukhovitsy, Priest Dimitri Gurov, and Hieromonk Mitrofan (Soldatenko).

During the service, an icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh—donated to the parish by a benefactor from Russia—was consecrated.
