On March 24, 2024, the First Week of Great Lent, the Triumph of Orthodoxy, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia celebrated the Divine Liturgy of St.Basil the Great and the rite of the Triumph of Orthodoxy in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow.
Co-celebrating with His Holiness was Bishop Konstantin of Zaraisk, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa.
At the small entrance, by decree of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, on the basis of the decree of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church dated March 12, 2024 (journal №30), Bishop Konstantin, in connection with the confirmation of the post of Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan.
