His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia sent greetings to Metropolitan Leonid of Klin, Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, on the 10th anniversary of his episcopal consecration. The text of the message is given below.
His Eminence Leonid, Metropolitan of Klin, Head of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa
Your Eminence,
I extend my warm greetings to you on the 10th anniversary of your episcopal consecration, as well as on the occasion of your coming Name Day.
It is gratifying to note that for many years you have been dutifully performing your service, with invariable diligence carrying out the tasks entrusted to you by the Supreme Authority. Ten years ago, by the will of God, good and acceptable and perfect (Rom 12:2), you were vouchsafed to be ordained as bishop.
Now, taking care of the clergy and flock of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa and the Diocese of Yerevan and Armenia, you strive to promote church life in the lands entrusted to your care, to enlighten our contemporaries by the light of Christ’s faith and to edify them in the Gospel truths.
On this day of your spiritual celebration, in my prayers I wish you strength, generous help from God and success in your further work for the good of the Holy Church.
